About Marian Polk-Gorden

Marian Polk-Gorden is an Early Childhood Specialist with the Lancaster Independent School District. She is passionate about working with both students and teachers, and she is dedicated to supporting early childhood educators. With over a decade of experience in the classroom, Mrs. Polk-Gorden taught Pre-K for 13 years and served as a grade-level chair for 12 years. In her current role, she collaborates with teachers to enhance classroom management, implement effective teaching strategies, and develop engaging academic activities for young learners. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Prairie View A&M University, with a concentration in Educational Administration, and is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Education. She has presented at Region 10’s Now4Forever Conference and has worked with a variety of early childhood curricula throughout her career. Marian’s favorite quote is, “Teachers who love teaching teach children who love learning.” Her enthusiasm for education shines through in everything she does, especially in her work supporting Pre-K teachers, because she truly believes Pre-K educators are amazing!
